Former royal butler Paul Burrell thinks there will be a “cool vibe” behind closed doors during the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.

Ranvir Singh was Lorraine Kelly’s replacement for the week and welcomed the Queen’s former personal lackey to the show this morning (June 2).

Paul, 63, has spoken of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s imminent appearance alongside the Queen on the Buckingham Palace balcony, but believes there will be underlying tensions behind closed doors.

“There will be a good atmosphere behind closed doors thanks to what has been said in the past,” he told Ranvir, 44.

He continued: “Some members of the royal family were burned by what Harry and Meghan said, most notably Oprah.”

“And they don’t like it, so they’re going to be very careful what they’re up to now,” he added.

Paul has expressed concern about what Harry and Meghan might do with what they hear at the Palace and how they could use it to their advantage.

He explained: “Because they could take it to the United States and integrate it into their business platform, they could use that information.”

The 63-year-old admitted that the Queen would be happy to have Harry there because she “loves” him.

“The Queen is very fond of Harry,” she admitted before saying, “she loves him and always answers his calls.”

The former butler has expressed his main concern about the platinum jubilee, who the media is and where their attention will be focused.

“I’m worried about the media,” he told Ranvir.



Paul told Ranvir that he was concerned about the media and how they would focus on Harry and Meghan instead of the queen.

He continued: “I’m afraid the media focuses on Harry, Meghan and the children instead of focusing on what’s important: Her Majesty.”

The I’m A Celeb star thinks it’s an opportunity for the audience to thank the Queen and that no one should be distracted by the Queen herself.

“This is your feast, your Jubilee. This is an opportunity for people to thank you, madam, for your devoted service to our country, and we must not be distracted from that, “she exclaimed.
