Pass the time while waiting for the fifth part of the cartoon.

In the third part of Shrek, there is a scene where Prince Charming orders cocktails for his friends in a bar. By the way, they are not his friends at all, and this slip of the tongue turns into trouble for the hero, but now we are interested in something else. The drink that the prince ordered is called “rough navel”. It sounds like that, but in reality such a cocktail really exists. And believe me, contrary to the name, it is very tasty.

What does the cocktail consist of and why does it have this name?

The drink was invented by Ray Foley, founder of the Magazine bar. The cocktail is pretty reasonable and there are no nasty secret ingredients in it. But the reason for this name is still unknown. Maybe it’s just a joke, or maybe it has a deep backstory.

But we are here for the recipe, and it is as simple as possible. You will need:

  • vodka – 45 ml,
  • peach schnapps – 30 ml,
  • orange juice – 120 ml,
  • crushed ice – 5-6 scoops
  • ice – 4-5 cubes,
  • raspberries – 2-3 berries.

Shake crushed ice with vodka, schnapps and orange juice in a shaker. Add a few ice cubes to a glass, pour the cocktail over it and garnish with fresh raspberries.

The cocktail also has a children’s version. For this you need:

  • peach juice – 45 ml,
  • orange juice – 45 ml
  • lemon juice – 10 ml,
  • crushed ice – 4-5 scoops,
  • grenadine – 1 teaspoon,
  • orange – 1 slice.

Also shake the ice with all the liquid ingredients in a shaker, then pour the drink into a glass and garnish with an orange slice.
