Brad Pitt avoided superheroes for years, but starred in Marvel: I bet you don’t even remember his character?

Brad Pitt was bombarded with questions about why he and his type weren’t in superhero movies after “Troy,” and requests to join the MCU increased when “Iron Man” was released. To reassure fans, the ex-husband of Angelina Jolie decided to close the Gestalt, but it turned out, to put it mildly, in a specific way.

Initially, Pitt was in contention for the role of Cable, the main new villain of the second Deadpool, but the producers liked Josh Brolin much more. In order not to miss this opportunity and still write Pitt’s name on the credits and on the poster, the film’s director, David Leitch, decided on a real adventure.

Throughout the film, viewers see the face of the Hollywood star for exactly two seconds, but at the same time his character is present in the frame for a little more than a few minutes. Sounds illogical, you say? The invisible man, we will answer you!

Yes, Pitt was cast in the role of an invisible would-be superhero who was supposed to be part of the new Deadpool team, but died after being unsuccessfully dropped onto a power line.

It is at the moment of the loser hero’s death that the audience gets to see Brad’s face contorted into a comically tragic grin. A year after the premiere, the actor himself immediately declared that he had put an end to his superhero adventures:

“I did my job. Made my own superhero. And he killed him. But I wouldn’t mind seeing a superhero play me!” – the artist spoke out, praising Chris Hemsworth and hinting that he would love to watch Thor in a biopic about his beloved self.

It is noteworthy that Pitt has plenty of colleagues who categorically turn their noses up at Marvel films and refuse to even star in them for big money.
