After such ‘children’s fairy tales’ you wake up bathed in a cold sweat.

Almost all Walt Disney projects are created with one goal: to impress children with simple, optimistic stories and to extract as much money as possible from their parents, who spend money on toys based on their favorite franchises. But if Cinderella, Snow White and other well-known cartoons were based on original stories, the studio would go bankrupt.

“Sleeping Beauty” is a friendly cartoon about a prince who rescues a beauty who has fallen into eternal sleep. However, in the books everything was different. In the original fairy tale, the princess wakes up because the curse has ended and the prince’s mother turns out to be a cannibal and wants to feed on her daughter-in-law and grandchildren.

“Cinderella” by the Brothers Grimm is also far from the ideal shown on the screen, and the main storyline is unchanged: the stepdaughter of the evil stepmother finds her happiness with the prince, but the writers treated her mentioned sisters cruelly. To fit into the shoe, the girls mutilated themselves, and during the journey to Cinderella’s wedding they also went blind.

In Hans Christian Anderson’s The Little Mermaid, Ariel lost her tongue as well as her voice, and every step she took on her new legs caused terrible pain. And the prince chose not her, but another girl, and therefore the mermaid, armed with a knife, sets out to take revenge to return to the ocean. As a result, the beauty’s heart trembled, she did not raise her hand to her beloved and became the daughter of the sky.

The fairy tale about Snow White ends much more honestly than the cartoon. The stepmother found a way to put Snow White to sleep, but the prince woke her up, and then, at the wedding, the dwarfs cruelly took revenge on the villain, forcing her to dance to death on hot shoes.
