Giulia Buttersbest known for her roles in Once upon a time in Hollywood, The Gray Man, The FabelmansAND I think you should leavehe joined the cast of Disney’s sequel Strange Friday 2.
The project was officially confirmed in March, with Nisha Ganatra (Welcome to Chippendales, The high note, Deep night) touched to direct.
Original stars Jamie Lee Curtis AND Lindsay Lohan are in talks to reprise their roles from the 2003 film.
For years, Curtis and Lohan have expressed their desire to reunite for a sequel to their body-swap comedy. In March, Curtis shared a photo with Lohan on Instagram, tagging Disney and captioning the shot: “DUH! FFDEUX!”
Strange Friday followed Curtis as strict mom Tess and Lohan as rebellious daughter Anna. When a mystical fortune cookie forces them to switch bodies, the two must learn to accept each other unconditionally, in time for Tess’s wedding and Anna’s big concert with her band.
Butters’ role and full plot details for the sequel have yet to be revealed. Andrew Gunn, who produced the first film, is producing the sequel, along with former Disney executive Kristin Burr. Release facilities have not yet been announced.
