Who is smarter: you or an ordinary schoolboy?
Questions from the school curriculum are a great way to test and refresh your knowledge, as well as have a fun evening with the kids. Most adults think they can easily beat teenagers in a competition of learning, but their self-esteem can take a hit.
This test offers a series of questions, the answers to which just seem obvious and make you want to return to your school desk:
Millions of people know the first most populous country, but what about the second most populous country on the list? From zoology courses we know about camels’ ability to store water in their humps, but can they go longer without drinking than a giraffe? What is the probability that the total number of oceans in the world is not four? And will everyone be able to accurately name the smallest planet in the solar system, even if there are multiple answer options?
After answering questions from geometry, biology, history, astrology and other sciences, older respondents will breathe a sigh of relief, but it is at this point that the test will present them with a treacherous question that will trip up every second person. Of the several thousand who tested their knowledge, only a few hundred succeeded in obtaining the coveted A.
Internet users were even outraged that if you want to pass the test perfectly, you need to be a “walking encyclopedia”, but intelligence does not always mean knowledge of facts from different fields of science.
