Jimmy Barnes reveals one of the secrets to his recovery from open-heart surgery: “If I don’t get better, I don’t know what will.”

Jimmy Barnes is back on his feet after undergoing open heart surgery a month ago.

And the famous rocker, 67, revealed one of the “secrets” behind his speedy recovery.

The popular Scottish-Australian musician said on Monday, citing stories, that he drank a special homemade vegetable drink.

Taking to Instagram, the Cold Chisel legend posted a photo of himself with a tall glass of green liquid.

“I use the juice…the green juice,” he explained in the caption.

“Half of it goes straight from the garden into the blender. “If that doesn’t do me anything, I don’t know what will,” he joked.

In the photo, a smiling Jimmy has a surgical bandage around his left arm.

“All that healthy homemade food will get you over the border,” one follower said.

“Add this green vegetable to Jimmy, it helps detoxify and clean the blood,” another fan added.

This comes after the Working Class Man hitmaker shared this last week a promising health update.

Jimmy announced on social media that he was doing well and thanked his daughter Eliza Jane Barnes and her husband Jim for their care.

Jimmy told his followers he underwent open-heart surgery after a bacterial infection spread to his heart.

After the procedure, he told his followers that he was healthy, happy and likely to make a full recovery.

In November, Jimmy was forced to cancel his headline performance at the Rock the Boat cruise festival in Noumea, New Caledonia, after being hospitalized with bacterial pneumonia.

He then had to cancel his planned appearance at By The C in Torquay on December 2 as his condition did not improve.

Jimmy has booked a number of sold-out headline dates for January and February, including several shows at the Red Hot Summer Tour Festival.

However, Jimmy confirmed late last year that his upcoming shows were likely to be canceled after doctors discovered his infection had spread.
