Ida and her traveling companion then remove their cell phone cases, clamp the material between the cases and their devices and clip them back into place.
The 10-second clip ends with them watching the in-flight entertainment on their phones hanging from the back of the seats in front of them.
‘Did you know?’ she asks in the caption.
Ida’s video has been viewed 2.5 million times and received more than 190 comments since it was posted on November 5.
However, it might have been better if she had performed a similar stunt and used a compost bag or napkin instead.
Much People criticized her for being “right” and said she shouldn’t have taken the headrest covers without first asking the people in front of her.
“The way they just throw it at you without asking,” one person commented.

Ida’s video has been viewed 2.5 million times, but many people were not impressed. Critics condemned her for not even asking permission, saying she was “rude” and “demanding”.
“It’s not up to you to use it unless you ask the person in front of you,” someone else insisted.
“And I’d take it back in a heartbeat because you didn’t ask for it,” said another.
Some also argued that the hack, which could only be used on planes with headrest covers, was also unsanitary.
“That’s extremely rude.” “These sheets are for hygiene and you take them from people in front of you,” one viewer replied.
That’s just rude! And pretty unsanitary, I don’t want my phone [where somoene’s] Hair, sweat etc,” said another.
Others didn’t understand what everyone was so mad about in the comments, saying it was “just a piece of cloth.”
One TikTok user suggested investing in airplane phone cases, saying the one she bought on Amazon only cost $12.
“Best purchase ever,” she wrote. “You all should have.”
