Reese Witherspoon has officially confirmed that a third season of her hit series Big Little Lies is in the works, starring Nicole Kidman, Shailene Woodley and Zoë Kravitz.
While attending the 81st Golden Globe Awards with her son Deacon Phillippe on Sunday night, the 47-year-old Oscar winner confirmed that she is “working hard on it” with Kidman, 56.
“We’re working on it,” she told Variety about the return of the hit HBO series, which received critical acclaim for its writing, direction, acting and soundtrack.
In November, Kidman first teased that Big Little Lies would return for a third season, nearly five years after the final episode aired on July 21, 2019.

She accidentally revealed the secret during a question-and-answer session at the CME Group Tour Championship on Friday in Naples, Florida.
“I loved Moulin Rouge, but I loved Big Little Lies,” she said in a clip shared to Deux Moi’s Instagram Stories.
She continued, “I loved Big Little Lies because it happened at a time in my life when I had my kids and thought I was going to retire, and then this situation came up where me and Reese Witherspoon could do this show manufacture.” . ”
“And then you all looked at it and made it a huge success,” she concluded. “For your information we bring you a third one.”
It’s been almost five years since the second season of the HBO crime drama hit theaters, which ended on a cliffhanger when Zoe’s Bonnie Carlson was about to confess to being Kidman’s rapist husband (played by Alexander Skarsgård ) kicked.
Earlier this year, the show’s executive producer Bruna Papandrea told Deadline, “I’ve been thinking about this a lot lately.”
“I really think a lot of people feel the same way I do, which is that they will eventually find a way to move on.”
Big Little Lies first aired in 2017 and is based on the novel of the same name by Liane Moriarty.
