Golden Globes hosts: The “Suits” duo, Angela Bassett and Will Ferrell on first names

Amanda Seyfried, Angela Bassett, Take Stars Gabriel Macht and Patrick J. Adams, George Lopez, Julia Garner, Justin Hartley, Michelle Yeoh and Will Ferrell make up the first list of presenters for the 81st Golden Globe Awards on Sunday.

Jo Koy will host the Golden Globes, which honor the best films and television series of the year. The ceremony will air live on CBS and stream on Paramount+ starting at 8pm ET/5pm PT.

Further speakers will be announced.

This year’s Golden Globe nominees in 26 categories include the 2023 box office winner Barbie With nine films, Warner Bros. leads. all films, followed by Universal Oppenheimer with eight and apples Flower Moon Killer and searchlights Poor stuff with seven each. HBO’s latest breakthrough is in the TV race Succession has nine nominations, the most ever for a series, and has received mentions in every category in which it was eligible.

This year’s Globes – on CBS for the first time since 1982 – includes two new award categories: theatrical and box office performance in motion pictures and best performance in television stand-up comedy.

Dick Clark Productions, a longtime Globes producer, plans, hosts and produces this year’s awards after Dick Clark Productions and Eldridge acquired the Globes’ assets, rights and properties from the Hollywood Foreign Press Association in June.

Dcp is owned by Penske Media Eldridge, a subsidiary of PMC and a joint venture between Penske Media Corporation and Eldridge. PMC is also the parent company of Deadline.
