Lou Sanders has been announced as the eighth candidate to star in Dancing On Ice in 2024.
The comedian was introduced during an appearance on Nihal Arthanayake’s program on BBC Radio Five Live in October 2023.
She also made headlines at the time for her contribution to the debate surrounding Russell Brand, who became the subject of a police investigation after five women, four of them anonymous, published allegations accusing him of rape, sexual assault and emotional abuse. Brand denied the allegations.

Who is Lou Sanders?
Lou Sanders is known in the comedy scene for her stand-up work, writing and television appearances.
The comedian’s exact age is unknown. The birth date of 1985 was previously removed from Wikipedia as it was incorrect, but she is believed to have been born around this time.
Her book – What is this lady doing? – talks about how she was treated as a child and describes how she was insulted and lied to as a child by her late stepfather, even though her biological parent had limited support for her.

She remained tight-lipped about her first-hand experiences, telling the Guardian: “It amazes me that people still don’t want to believe women.”
Her memoir describes the widespread environment of abuse in her industry and apparently recounted people’s experiences with Brand in the past.
