Kareem Abdul Jabbar76, was rushed to a hospital in Los Angeles, California, after a fall Friday night, according to TMZ. The NBA legend, who he once played for Milwaukee dollars AND the Los Angeles LakersHe reportedly suffered a broken hip after the fall, which occurred during an undisclosed concert in Los Angeles. His representative, Debora Moralesrevealed the news to the vehicle and called the accident.
The agency also reported that paramedics responded to the accident and took Kareem to hospital. His condition has not yet been revealed.
Morales said TMZ that Kareem is “deeply grateful” for the support he has received from the Los Angeles Fire Department on scene and the “incredible medical team and doctors at UCLA hospital who are taking great care of him.”
Kareem’s recent downfall comes after he had spoken openly about other health issues in the past. The retired athlete previously revealed that he was battling prostate cancer in 2020 and in 2021 spoke about his atrial fibrillation (AFib) diagnosis. He also revealed that he battled myeloid leukemia in 2008.

In a recent interview, Kareem admitted that his atrial fibrillation has changed his life “tremendously” and explained what he does to stay healthy. “The diagnosis of atrial fibrillation changed my life a lot. “I have to closely follow the regimen prescribed by my doctors and make sure I stay up to date with my medications and appointments,” he said. He also spoke about the terrifying time he experienced before he was diagnosed. “In 2021 I was coming out of a Los Angeles Dodgers game and I couldn’t get up without feeling so dizzy I thought I was going to pass out,” he said. “I was diagnosed with atrial fibrillation after my symptoms sent me to the hospital.”
Kareem rose to fame when he played professional basketball from the 1960s to the late 1980s. During his impressive career, he was named NBA Most Valuable Player (MVP) six times, 19-time NBA All-Star, 15-time All-Star. -NBA team and an 11-time selection to the NBA All-Defensive team. He was also a member of six NBA championship teams as a player and two more as an assistant coach.
