Natalia Portman, 42, doesn’t believe children should pursue acting careers. The actress, who started in the industry as a child, admitted that she believes “luck” was the reason she emerged “unscathed” during her early days in film, in a new interview on Podcast from the Variety Awards circuit. She also said that he believes that those who are interested in working as actors should wait until they are older.
“I wouldn’t encourage young people to get involved in this,” said Portman, who has two children, Aleph, 12, and Amalia, 6, with her husband Benjamin Millepied. Variety, before clarifying: “I don’t mean never; I mean, when they were kids.
“I think it was almost a lucky accident that I didn’t get hurt, as well as having wonderful, very overprotective parents,” he added. She also recalled her first major role in the 1994 film.
