The 59-year-old meteorologist could not hide his joy as he gave the audience a taste of his new engagement ring.
Hosts Sally Nugent and Jon Kay beamed into the studio while listening to the good news.

During the morning show, Carol appeared live from the Chelsea Flower Show, but as soon as the camera looked at her, Sally and Jon were more interested in her good news than then.
Noticing the glittering ring on her left hand, Sally mocked: “I was a little worried about you this morning, I don’t know how you’re getting up with that giant boulder on your left”, while Jon laughed beside her hair.

Sally urged Carol to reveal some details and continued: “Can we confirm what happened to the nation?”

“I think you have Sal! Yes, I am engaged, we got engaged over the holidays, so this is great news and we are both very happy,” Carol replied.
An overjoyed Jon said that he and everyone in the studio were “pampered” for Carol when Sally started a round of applause for her colleague.
Despite keeping her relationship with her mysterious boyfriend somewhat private in public, Carol has previously claimed that her beauty was “the best thing that ever happened to me”.
During a conversation with Prima Magazine in 2021, the TV star said: “He always makes me a cup of tea in the morning before I go to work, it’s so romantic – it’s 2:45 am and he often leaves me a note of love.” when i come home from work
“It’s worth a million red roses to me,” he explained.
Carol was previously married to cricketer Jimmy Kirkwood, but the couple split in 2008.
