Lorraine Kelly was criticized by viewers on Monday for taking half a week off despite having a grown-up daughter.
Fans of the ITV morning show pointed out that Christine Lampard was a guest presenter despite having two young children, Patricia, five, and Freddie, two.
An ITV spokesperson confirmed to MailOnline last week: “Lorraine is now off for half term and will be back on Monday November 6.”
Fans wondered why Lorraine had the day off instead of Christine, with one commenting on Twitter: “Why does Lorraine have half the school year off, she has no school age children?”
Another said: “It’s summer break which means the wife with a 28 year old takes a week off and the wife with toy kids does her show!”
Stunned: Lorraine viewers were furious on Monday when they found out the presenter took half a term off despite having grown-up children

Host: Meanwhile, Christine Lampard, who has two young children, has taken over as host of the show
A third added: “So Christine Lampard, who has young children, is stepping in and hosting Lorraine during the break so Lorraine Kelly can have a break too. “Her daughter is 29. She and Susanna Reid both feel entitled.”
One commented: “Oh yes. Lorraine is on holiday for half the school year, even though her daughter has not been at school for twenty years, and is being replaced by someone with school-aged children. The usual pointless move
Elsewhere on the show, Andi Peters was left red-faced when he accidentally called presenter Christine Bleakley, her maiden name, instead of Lampard.
Christine (44) is a loving mother to her two children Patricia, five, and Freddie, two, whom she shares with husband Frank Lampard.
Lorraine (63) shares daughter Rosie (28) with husband Steve, whom she married in 1992.
It comes after Louise Minchin stepped in to host Lorraine on Friday.
The former BBC Breakfast star, 55, took the top spot on the ITV1 morning show, replacing Lorraine Kelly, who usually presents the show daily.
The excitement was palpable as Good Morning Britain presenters Kate Garraway and Ben Shephard handed Lorraine their own show.
Kate said: “Louise Minchin comes to Lorraine at nine o’clock. ‘Hello, how nice to see you on this side of the pond!’
Louise replied: ‘Thank you very much, it’s lovely to be here.’ Good morning everyone!’
During the show you saw Louise with Dr. Amir worked on his latest fitness regimen and chatted with Hollywood star Kerry Washington.

The newsreader also gave viewers a behind-the-scenes look at new ITV1 reality show Mamma Mia! I Have a Dream, in which judges Samantha Barks, Alan Carr, Amber Riley and Jessie Ware search for a pair of artists to appear in the jukebox musical ABBA West End.
There was no explanation as to where Lorraine – who was regularly reported on by Loose Women presenters and Good Morning Britain’s Ranvir Singh – was.
But an ITV spokesperson confirmed to MailOnline: “Lorraine is now off for half term and will be back on Monday November 6.”
Lorraine airs weekdays from 9am on ITV
