The MTV Europe Music Awards have been canceled due to security concerns and “the state of the world” during the war between Israel and Hamas.
The 30th annual music event is one of the industry’s biggest awards shows would take place in Paris on November 5 at the Paris Nord Villepinte.
However, a source told the Mail: “It is with a heavy heart that the event is being canceled due to security concerns and the ongoing conflict.”
The annual Starfest features dazzling performances from the biggest artists in the industry. The events will be broadcast live on MTV in more than 150 countries.
Had the event taken place this year, it would have been the first time in 28 years that the EMAs would have been held in the French capital.

The last time Paris hosted the awards ceremony, French President Emmanuel Macron was just 17 years old while designer Jean-Paul Gaultier served as host.
Last year’s ceremony took place at the PSD Bank Dome in Düsseldorf, with pop star Rita Ora and her husband, film director Taika Waititi, as hosts.
Taylor Swift led the winners as she took home four awards from a whopping six nominations.
The 32-year-old singer won Best Video and Best Long Form Video for her 10-minute version of All Too Well (Taylor’s Version), beating global stars such as Foo Fighters and Stormzy.
Bebe Rexha, David Guetta and Harry Styles also won major awards at the star-studded ceremony.

Last year’s ceremony took place at the PSD Bank Dome in Düsseldorf and was hosted by pop star Rita Ora and her husband, film director Taika Waititi.

Other acts taking part in the night of incredible performances included Ava Max and Muse, as well as Scottish sensation Lewis Capaldi, who made his EMA debut.
The performances didn’t stop there as Stormzy, GAYLE, OneRepublic, Kalush Orchestra, SPINALL, Äyanna and Nasty C also performed.
Meanwhile, the annual music ceremony went to Budapest in 2021.
Since the first show in Berlin in 1994, the MTV EMAs have traveled to 23 European cities, with London the only host to host three times.
