Giulia Volpe33, admitted to dating Kanye West, 46, was like taking care of a second child, in a new interview. The actress, who had been dating the rapper for a month, appeared on a recent episode of The Drew Barrymore Show to promote his new memoirs, Down the drainand talked about the experience of the brief love story.
“I could only do it for a little while because ultimately I think he needed a full-time person and I just couldn’t work full-time,” she explained. “I had my son [Valentino] and then I wanted to talk on the phone as much as if I had to change diapers, so I bought a pair of AirPods so I could leave them on while I did mommy things. “It was just… it was so overwhelming and unsustainable.”

Julia shares 2-year-old Valentino with her ex Peter Artemiev, and said his son is his number one priority. “Ultimately, I can’t put anyone first,” she added in the interview. “My son must be first. He just became too much. I didn’t sign up to have two kids. I could not. “They looked like two children.”
Julia also talked about how surprised she was at how quickly her relationship with Kanye, who she dated in January 2021, became public and how much attention it received. “When I met him, I literally thought no one would find out, because a lot of times you hang out with these celebrities, but they’re very private and say, ‘Don’t post a picture in my bathroom. ‘ So I thought it would be a secret” , he explained. “So when all of a sudden it mysteriously leaked out, it wasn’t me, I wasn’t really expecting it, so I just went with it. I thought, ‘Okay, I’m going to do fashion, I’m going to wear the clothes.’ that says.'”
“He wanted me to be bigger. It did, like when I got a lot of press attention, I was excited,” Julia also said about her celebrity status at the time. “That’s what happens when you have a vision for someone, you become very obsessed with that vision and it almost becomes your little project, in a certain sense, your little masterpiece.”
As for whether she’s dating anyone now or not, Julia revealed that she’s single and happy that way. “I have given up on men. “I just…if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it,” she said.
