New Trailer for Animated Adventure Film MIGRATION Featuring Taylor Swift’s Song “Out of the Woods (Taylor’s Version)”

A new trailer has been released for the animated adventure film, Migration, featuring Taylor Swift’s song, “Out of the Woods (Taylor’s Version).” Illumination’s upcoming family comedy is written by Mike White (The White Lotus, School of rock) and was directed by Benjamin Renner (Ernesto and Celestino, The Big Bad Fox and Other Stories). The cast is led by Kumail Nanjiani (The Big Sick, Eternals) as anxious Mallard dad Mack; AND Elizabeth Banks (Hunger Games, Pitch perfect franchise) as Pam, the bold and witty Mallard matriarch.

They are united by Caspar Jennings as Dax, the Mallards’ confident and restless son, and, in his film debut, Tresi Gazal she plays Gwen, the innocent and adorable daughter of the family. She also presents Awkwafina (Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings) as the feisty leader of a gang of New York City pigeons; Carol Kane (The princess bride) as the heron Erin, the first friend the Mallards make on their journey; Keegan-Michael Key (The Super Mario Bros. movie, The Lion King) voices a nostalgic Jamaican parrot locked in a Manhattan restaurant; David Mitchell (Peep show) plays the yogic leader of a mysterious duck farm; Danny DeVito (It’s always sunny in Philadelphia) plays Mack’s gruff, adventure-averse Uncle Dan.

The film focuses on the Mallard family, who are in a bit of trouble. “While dad Mack is content to keep his family safe by forever splashing around the New England pond, mom Pam is eager to shake things up and show their kids, teenage son Dax and duckling daughter Gwen, the whole world . After a family of migrating ducks stop by their pond telling exciting stories of far-flung places, Pam convinces Mack to take a family road trip, via New York City, to tropical Jamaica.

As mallards head south for the winter, “their well-laid plans quickly go awry. The experience will inspire them to expand their horizons, open up to new friends, and accomplish more than they ever thought possible, teaching them more about each other – and themselves – than they ever imagined.
