Rosa Elena Garcia Echave, real name Rossi de Palma, was born in 1964 in the Spanish city of Palma de Mallorca. The girl hated her reflection in the mirror. Due to her asymmetrical face, differently shaped eyes, large mouth and crooked nose, she was teased like an ugly duckling. The little girl suffered so much from attacks from her peers that she even stopped going to school.
At the age of 20, the girl created the punk band Peor Imposbl (“It Can’t Be Worse”). During one of her performances, director Pedro Almodóvar noticed her and realized he had a real nugget in front of him. He played her in the films ‘The Law of Desire’ and ‘Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown’, which brought her unprecedented fame. It was then that the brunette took a pseudonym in honor of her birthplace and became Rossi de Palma.
The career of the “ugly Spaniard” took off: star roles, appearances as a model and filming in music videos. The girl was even compared to the heroines of Picasso’s paintings, and it seems that Rossi de Palma himself finally accepted her appearance and fell in love.
Little is known about the personal life of the ugly beauty. The celebrity has two children, but they did not inherit the appearance of their extraordinary mother.
