For some, selfie may not seem like the most serious genre. For some reason, not everyone has cool “selfies.” Sometimes they just can’t be uploaded to the web. Meanwhile someone gets some really nice pictures. How do they do that?
Photographer Andrey Novak told the PopCornNews portal how to properly photograph himself on the phone.
First of all, the expert recommends cleaning the camera lens from dust or fingerprints. Otherwise the picture will be blurry.
“Find a suitable light source. Ideally when the light comes directly or slightly to the side of the model to create an even and soft lighting, ”explains the specialist.
Lighting should be soft so that no shadows fall on the face. After choosing the light, stand in front of a neutral background so that the focus is on your face.
“Usually an angle just above the face looks good for portrait selfies, but not too high so that the face doesn’t look distorted,” the photographer explains.
Andrey Novak added that when taking a selfie it is better to use portrait mode. And also use the timer for remote control and of course do not forget about image processing. With the help of special programs, you can improve the lighting and create contrast.
Models during shooting should behave naturally and experiment with poses. It’s also good to find the right shooting angle for you.
