Lisa Curry’s memoirs have jumped to the top of Australia’s bestseller lists.

Her book, Lisa: A Memoir – 60 Years of Life, Love & Loss, is a crude account of the 59-year-old athlete’s difficult life.

The Daily Telegraph on Saturday reported that the book hit “straight to number one” when it was published.

On Friday, Lisa revealed she hopes her new book will help those struggling like her.

Lisa went on to explain that she was “overflowing with social media posts” from people about her journey.

“The book has only been out for a week, and I know my experiences have helped people in more ways than I ever imagined,” he said.

In the book, the Olympic swimmer shares poignant new details about the special struggles her daughter Jaimi Kenny went through before she died at age 33.

In an excerpt from her biography, Lisa states that Jaimi was once “abused” by a boyfriend while intoxicated.

The crash allegedly occurred in his car after the man offered to drive home from a party.

The grieving mother described the incident as “a complete breach of trust” and said “Another pain in Jaimi’s already deeply traumatic and painful life”.

Elsewhere, Lisa shared heartbreaking details about Jaimi’s battle with an eating disorder.

Lisa’s former Ironman and Olympic bronze medalist Grant Kenny and daughter Jaimi died at Sunshine Coast University Hospital in September 2020. She was 33 years old.

Years before his death, he struggled with alcoholism and an eating disorder.

Once considered a golden couple in Australian sports, Lisa and Grant were married in 1984, welcomed three children together – son Jett and daughters Jaimi and Morgan – and separated in 2009.
