Russian Media Group continues to integrate neural networks into creative processes. The Masterpiece application, developed by Yandex, helped change the visual image of online streams broadcast on the website of the DFM radio station.
At the end of March, a new online radio station, Neuro Flow, began broadcasting in the Internet space, created entirely – from logos to a music stream – by neural networks. You can listen to the Neuro Flow online stream on the DFM radio website and on the radio station’s YouTube channel.
The holding company continues to work with neural networks and tests various possibilities of artificial intelligence for the development of the creative industry and the creation of new unique content.
On May 15, the covers of all online music stations were changed on the website of radio station DFM. The new visuals for the covers were created by the DFM radio team in Masterroom, an image generation application using the Yandex neural network.
The neural network creates images using the cascaded diffusion method: first it forms images in accordance with the user’s request and then gradually increases their resolution, saturating the images with detail. For the currently available beta version of Masterpiece, the developers trained the neural network on 240 million samples of images with text descriptions. Neural network training continues – now on a data set of 500 million samples.
“We are convinced that artificial intelligence will enable the entertainment industry to create more and more bright and diverse content or blanks for it, which will then be completed by humans,” says Director of the Russian media group Dmitry Mednikov. – Of course, a neural network cannot replace a person, especially when it comes to creativity, the emotional side, but it can significantly broaden the horizon. And we are excited to be at the forefront of experimenting with integrating artificial intelligence into the creative process.”
In addition, DFM radio and Shedevroom visualize the creative ideas of the station’s listeners. All week, starting May 15, DFM radio is holding a “Masterpiece Challenge.”
Every weekday, listeners of DFM radio can create their own “masterpieces” at the behest of the presenters, and the authors of the brightest visualizations become the owners of smart speakers.
