Princess Diana stepped on the monarch’s throat.
Prince Charles, now Charles III, and Princess Diana could not agree on anything. Another round of disputes flared up when I had to choose my sons’ names. The future king was not happy with the proposals of his unloved wife.
According to the Daily Mail, Elizabeth II’s son wanted King Arthur to ascend the throne after him. That’s what he wanted to call his eldest son. The monarch loved the legends of the eponymous character from British history. But then the young woman intervened. I had to compromise. The firstborn was given two names, the first was William, the second – Arthur.
When the second boy was born, the controversy resumed. Charles would name him Albert in honor of King George VI – that was the name he bore before the coronation. Diana performed again. She called the child Henry, but in childhood another name “stuck” to him – Harry, under whom Meghan Markle’s husband is now known.
