The creators deprived us of a very important moment.
The Harry Potter cutscenes, if put together, could be worth a whole new movie. Sometimes the editors removed blunders or unnecessary moments from the photo, but some were able to radically change the perception.
This happened with the footage of the second part of the “Deathly Hallows”, where Voldemort, along with his army, approaches the dilapidated Hogwarts to announce that Harry Potter is dead. In the final version, they left the option where Harry breaks off Hagrid’s hands at one point and the carnage begins. At the same time, the audience is shown how Draco Malfoy runs away with his family at that very moment.
But according to Digitalspy, there was another scene in development. There, Draco abruptly runs to the “resurrected” Potter and throws his wand at him so that he can shoot Voldemort.
It could have changed the story of Tom Felton’s character. After all, in the last parts it was clear that he was no longer happy to be in the circle of supporters of the main villain. And returning to the side of good would be a very logical conclusion to Malfoy’s difficult path. However, the creators decided not to change the essence of his nature and gave him a cowardly escape.
