The artist performed under someone else’s soundtrack.

The hits of the Hi-Fi group, popular in the 2000s, were heard only in the most remote village. The songs of this group thundered in discos, and every girl knew the voice of Mitya Fomin. It just turned out that he never sang all these compositions, but only opened his mouth to the voice of another person.

Even real fans didn’t know everything that was really going on at first. But initially, in the first part of Hi-Fi, Fomin was just a dancer.

The truth was revealed only in 2009, when Mitya left the group, admitting that he was tired of the “animating” hits known to the whole country. In fact, the composer Pavel Yesenin has always been the voice of the group, it was he who performed the songs “The Seventh Petal”, “School No. 7”, “Not Given” and many others.

By the way, Yesenin’s voice can be heard on the backing vocals of singer Shura in the song “Everything will return”. Although many then wondered what Mitya Fomin did with the vocals.

“It was a useful model for the existence of a commercial team, which is in high demand. Although I have always had the ambition of being a singer,” the artist admitted in an interview with AiF.
