Brad Pitt let his 105-year-old neighbor live rent-free at his former $39 million LA home for years, Elvira star Cassandra Peterson revealed in a new interview with People.
The Oscar-winning actor, 59, who sold his Los Feliz, Calif., estate in March after nearly three decades, was the perfect neighbor for his older friend after the death of his wife, which allowed him to hire a tenant on to become the estate.
Peterson, 71, who became Pitt’s neighbor after she sold him her home in 1994, says Pitt built his estate by acquiring surrounding lots, one of which was owned by a man in his early 90s.
She said: “He was very, very nice to the man. His wife died and the husband, John, lived there. I know Brad allowed him to live there without paying anything until he died.
“It was quite funny because John lived to be 105. I guess Brad thought well, you know, he can stay there until he dies, which could be any minute now.

Peterson said the actor had always been “kind and sweet” to her throughout their years as neighbors and revealed that she “almost passed out” when she saw the star perform in preparation for the 1999 film Fight Club shirtless and with hit a bag.
She added: “I remember him saying, ‘Hey, how are you?’ and I’m like, “Huh?” I couldn’t speak. I blushed. I felt like I was going to pass out,” she continues. “He’s just so beautiful, stunningly handsome – and kind to top it off.”
Pitt sold its facility last month after owning and cultivating it for nearly three decades.
The actor sold it for $39 million, a far cry from the $1.7 million he paid when he bought the home from horror icon Elvira in 1994, according to TMZ.
The property was originally on the market in January for $45 million, but it’s unclear what caused the price drop.
Pitt lived in the house with his ex-wife Angelina Jolie and their six children before their split in 2016, but he also lived there alone for many years.
The Fight Club actor reportedly moved from Los Angeles to a $40 million home in the small beach town of Carmel, Northern California.
This came just before the start date for Los Angeles’ new “gentleman’s tax” on January 1.

Tucked away in a gated community, Brad’s beautiful Hollywood Hills estate dates back more than 110 years.
Reportedly built by an oil baron in 1910, it is where rock legend Jimmy Hendrix wrote his 1967 hit May This Be Love.
Brad spent years renovating and building new additions to the property with a team of world-class architects and designers.
The Interview With A Vampire star was reportedly heavily involved in the design process to create his perfect abode.
