A man’s life ended with a very difficult test.
Actor Robbie Coltrane passed away last October. During his life, he managed to give fans not so many roles, but he was remembered for his most outstanding character – the good-natured hunter Hagrid in Harry Potter.
The artist died at the age of 73. According to CTNews, one of the reasons for the worsening of his condition could be alcoholism. Like many creative people, Coltrane had problems with alcohol and also ate uncontrollably.
‘He’s put on too much weight, stupid boy! The problem is he liked to drink,” co-worker Miriam Margulis, who played the herbalist professor Pomona Stalk in the Potterian, told of Robbie after his death.
In 2016, Robbie was diagnosed with osteoarthritis. With it, the membranes of the joints become inflamed, cartilage and bone tissue are destroyed. It became difficult for the actor to walk and in 2019 he got into a wheelchair. Then his weight exceeded 130 kilograms.
Coltrane died, as doctors determined, of multiple organ failure. He was diagnosed with sepsis, a lower respiratory tract infection and a heart block.
