EXCLUSIVE ‘Chris Rock is my boyfriend!’ Snoop Dogg laughs off controversial comic’s claim to be the ‘Morgan Freeman of hip-hop’ after putting his name on dozens of brands – and insists he says no every now and then

Snoop Dogg insists there is no split from Chris Rock after the controversial comedian reversed his numerous messages of support on a Netflix stand-up show.

The rapper’s various approaches to recognition include an unlikely collaboration with Martha Stewart on a series of cookbooks, while cartoons, reality shows and personalized marijuana strains have brought his coffers $150 million while endearing him to a wider audience.

More recently, he wowed British television viewers by starring in an ad campaign for delivery service Just Eats. His catchy jingle was so popular that it even made it onto his set list at London’s O2 Arena on Tuesday night.

But Snoop’s incredible marketing skills led Rock to draw unkind comparisons during his recent comedy special, Selective Outrage, to veteran actor Morgan Freeman, whose own eclectic portfolio includes ads for Turkish Airlines, Mountain Dew and the Professional Golf Association.

Speaking to MailOnline at the launch of his latest venture, a partnership with online crypto casino Roobet, the 51-year-old rapper said there were no hard feelings.

“Chris Rock is my friend,” he insisted. “He actually said how did I get from America’s Most Wanted to America’s Most Loved?

“It’s about transformation, growth, development and the willingness to accept change.”

While brands are willing to pay life-changing sums of money for the rapper’s services — his Just Eats deal alone would be worth $5 million — not every endorsement shot gets the coveted green light.

“I often say no,” he said. “I don’t want to blame anyone and say I said no to this or that person, but there are one or two people who are not about money, but about belonging to the club.

“If I feel like your family and believe in what you believe in, there is no problem. You stand behind your brand, but some things in life just don’t suit me and I can’t promote everything, so sometimes I have to say no.”

CHRIS ROCKS SNOOP GREPPE VOL

When did Snoop Dogg become Morgan Freeman? These n****s sell everything! Beer, wine, tampons…

“I recently saw a commercial where Snoop was selling reverse mortgages. He called them “dogs”… what the heck is a “dogs?!”

“But I love Snoop. The last thing I need is another crazy rapper, okay?’

The rapper is now focused on a new partnership with online crypto casino Roobet and the launch of their first offering, Hot Box – his version of their favorite game Crash.

“We had a mutual interest in giving back, to help certain people who couldn’t get as much money as us to have the chance,” he told MailOnline of his involvement. “They are willing to give back to charities and get things done.

“It appealed to me more than working for an organization to earn my own money. It blew me away when they even offered it.”

He added: “I am the missing piece of the puzzle. The things they do to me will be groundbreaking. They’ve done well without me, so imagine if they were with me.

“You don’t have someone like me. It’s a unique relationship – I have no competitors in my work.”

While Crash urges players to cash out before a rocket crashes to Earth, Hot Box challenges players to “outwit” Snoop Dogg himself – urging players to cash out before they inevitably fail.

“It’s up close and personal,” he said. “It has music in it, it has my voice in it. I will give you a piece of me without leaving a piece of me. But to actually be part of the development of the game, from start to finish.”
