Dangerous games almost killed the duke.
Prince Harry was on a popular sirtfood diet in the West before the wedding with Meghan Markle. So he wanted to get himself in better physical shape. However, this can have dangerous consequences.
The Sirtfood diet was developed by British nutritionists to slow down aging and cleanse the body. For three weeks, a diet of dark berries, soy, vegetables, dark chocolate, buckwheat, red wine, beans, walnuts and turmeric is built up. According to the authors, these products activate the production of sirtuins, which contribute to rapid weight loss without harm to health.
However, it turned out that this diet can greatly undermine health. As a nutritionist and nutrition consultant Ekaterina Mezhevitinova told RIA Novosti, replacing full meals with the listed products deprives the body of fiber, the diet is very poor in terms of the presence of proteins, fats and carbohydrates.
“All this leads to a decrease in the acidity of gastric juice, poor digestion of food, anemia, deterioration of the liver, gallbladder, slowdown of the entire gastrointestinal tract,” Mezhevitinova noted.
It is not known how the Duke of Sussex feels physically, but such methods of losing weight are out of the question.
