Green slime abounded at the Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards hosted by Nate Burleson and Charli D’Amelio. Kids and adults celebrated the best of pop culture at LA Live’s Microsoft Theater for the annual event, where winners receive an orange balloon.
Some of the stars who walked the orange carpet included Nickelodeon veteran Miranda Cosgrove, Bebe Rexha, Halle Bailey, Heidi Klum, Kelly Rowland, That Girl Lay Lay, Case Walker, Landon Barker, Luke Islam, Pierson Wodzynski, and Lilly Singh even Tariq, known as the “Corn Kid”. Adam Sandler received a special silver blimp during Slimy Night and was named the King of Comedy. The comedian-actor took the stage on a throne and was then doused in the gooey green liquid that the cable network is known for. Melissa McCarthy also appeared on the show in a dunk tank filled with over 1,500 gallons of slime.
Wednesday Jenna Ortega sent a video message after winning Woman’s Favorite TV Star, but wasn’t happy with all the colors on the show and asked for the mood to be changed to something more suited to her personality.
