Michaela Jae ‘MJ’ Rodriguez was very leggy at the 2023 Film Independent Spirit Awards on Saturday in Santa Monica, California.
The Pose star, 31, wore a floral-inspired burgundy halter-neck mini dress with layers of tulle styled with blooming petals.
The Newark-born entertainer – who last year became the first transgender woman to receive a Golden Globe – paired the bright look with gold strappy heels.
Rodriguez wore her black locks down the middle and fell straight down her back.
As for gloss, the tick, tick… Boom! star paired the edgy dress with pink eye shadow and a hint of blush.

The 38th annual Film Independent Spirit Awards were held on Saturday, March 4 at the Santa Monica Pier, hosted by comedian Hasan Minhaj.
The nominations were officially announced late last year in November, and the awards show is best known for bringing together “top talent from across the film and television worlds,” according to the official website.
This year, the awards ceremony will only be streamed and not broadcast live on IFC, a first since 1997, Variety reports.
Instead, fans and viewers can easily follow the beach parties on IMDB’s YouTube channel, as well as the Film Independent’s YouTube and Twitter pages.

Josh Welsh, the current president of Film Independent, told Variety: “It’s something we’ve been talking about for three years.”
