Eva and Victoria have been good friends for years and the actress is godmother to their children Cruz (18) and Harper (11).

This comes after Eva announced that her new film Flamin’ Hot will premiere on June 9.

Flamin’ Hot will have its world premiere at the SXSW Film Festival in March, coming months after her new project Land of Women begins filming in Barcelona.

The film is based on the true story of Richard Montanez, who started working as a janitor at Frito-Lay’s Rancho Cucamonga, California factory in 1976.

After a machine broke down, he took home a bunch of unflavored potato chips and developed a spice mix reminiscent of Mexican street corn.

He pitched the idea for Flamin’ Hot Cheetos to Roger Enrico, CEO of Frito-Lay, and the product was launched in 1992.

This led to an expanded product line that led to billions of dollars in new revenue.

Jesse Garcia will play Montanez, who rose from janitor to CEO before retiring in 2019 to start a new career as a motivational speaker.

The cast also includes Annie Gonzalez as Richard’s wife Judy, Emilio Rivera as Vacho Montanez, and Matt Walsh, Tony Shalhoub and Dennis Haysbert in unknown roles.

Eva directed from a screenplay by Lewis Collick and Linda Yvette Chavez, produced by DeVon Franklin.

Production on the film ended in August, with Eva releasing a statement about how proud she is to tell the story.

“I am so honored to guide this team to tell a beautiful story where people can find themselves in these characters and be inspired by the endless beauty and talent that abounds in our community,” she said.

However, the film made headlines in 2021 when a Los Angeles Times report disputed Montanez’s claims that he created the Flamin’ Hot Cheetos.

Montanez has also written two books: A Boy, a Burrito and a Cookie and Flamin’ Hot: The Incredible True Story of One Man’s Rise from Janitor to Top Executive.
