New dad Tommy Fury has revealed his priority now is “much-needed family time” – after winning his boxing match against Jake Paul at the weekend.
The 23-year-old sports star welcomed his first child – daughter Bambi – with his girlfriend Molly-Mae Hague (also 23) at the end of January, but spent the first few weeks preparing for the child’s struggle.
It comes after Molly-Mae admitted on Tuesday the couple had “difficult times behind closed doors” as the pressure of pre-fights affected family life.
Tommy now said, reflecting on the fight, “Well guys, I made it to the family safe and sound. I want to thank all the people who sent me sweet messages, it means a lot to me.
“Thank you to everyone who came to the fight, it wouldn’t have been the same without you. We did it, we did the job.

Tommy beat Jake Paul by split decision in Saudi Arabia – but it wasn’t without drama and controversy.
Tommy was the deserved winner in the end – the judges scored the fight in his favor 76-73, 76-73, 74-75 – but with a point deduction and a knockout to his name, things were far from smooth sailing .
This fight between the British ex-Love Island contestant and an American who rose to fame via YouTube was the culmination of more than two years of social media warfare that culminated in only the third clash.
Tommy was forced to pull out of the two previously agreed fights and was bombarded with claims that he was afraid to fight the seemingly less decorated boxer in Paul.
The star has always maintained that he had to cut short his dates with Paul due to legal injuries and visa-related reasons.
It is no wonder that the Mancunian, having finally proved himself right, was moved to tears when the victory was announced to him.
