She was just spotted in Manchester on the set of her new Netflix drama Fool Me Once.

And now Michelle Keegan has celebrated the news that she will be appearing as former Ops pilot Maya in the series with a bikini snap in a sunlit location.

Michelle got her own take on the story and was pictured reading Harlan Coben’s Fool Me Once, on which the show is based.

Wearing a beige structured strapless bikini, Michelle glowed as her tanned skin soaked up the sun’s rays while out and about.

She also wore a straw hat and sunglasses to protect her face and eyes from the scorching hot sun.

Appearing makeup-free in the photo, Michelle seemed to really get into the story as she prepared for the next job in her career.

Taking to Netflix’s official Instagram page, the streaming service celebrated Michelle’s arrival with a clip of the British star reading the book while dressed on set.

While the novel initially covers Michelle’s face, the star pulls down the open book to reveal her made-up face and she smiles with excitement.

They captioned the post: “Exciting news: @michkeegan will star in FOOL ME ONCE, a new thriller based on the book by @harlancoben. The limited series also stars @richardcarmitage, @adeelakhtar and Joanna Lumley! Coming soon to Netflix then.”

Michelle was spotted on the set of her new Netflix drama in Manchester on Monday.

The 35-year-old actress looked stylish on her first day of shooting in a plaid coat with a leopard print lining.

She wore the look over a chic cream jumper, which she paired with high-waisted black trousers.

Michelle, best known for her roles in Coronation Street and Brassic, has reportedly signed a six-figure deal to star in the new series, which is based on one of Harlan Coben’s books.

Seven of Harlan’s best-selling books have already been adapted into Netflix series, including the psychological thriller The Stranger, which has gained widespread popularity on the platform.

Michelle plays former surgical pilot Maya, who is shell-shocked after returning from war.

According to one book synopsis, Maya experiences trauma when her husband Joe is brutally murdered, but two weeks later she is faced with a mystery when she sees her young daughter playing with Joe on her baby monitor.

Speaking of Michelle’s new role, a TV source told The Sun: “It’s a huge role for Michelle. Harlan’s dramas are some of the most streamed on Netflix and people watch all over the world.”

Elsewhere, Michelle recently filmed the fifth season of the hit comedy-drama Brassic, in which she stars as Erin Croft.
