Gigi Hadid and Leonardo DiCaprio have officially moved on and are no longer romantically involved after the relationship “got out of hand,” a source told People in an article published Friday.
The talented supermodel, 27, and the Oscar winner, 48, were first linked publicly in September last year after attending a friend’s party together.
An insider close to the businesswoman told the entertainment outlet that “she hasn’t seen him in a while,” adding that the star “just decided she’s done with him.”
While focusing on her successful career in fashion, Hadid has made raising her two-year-old daughter Khai, who she shares with ex and former One Direction member Zayn Malik, a “priority”.
“They are in very different places in life. She is very passionate about being a mother,” the source also explained.

On what caused the romance to end, the source said simply: “It was never that serious anyway. It just bubbled up.”
Both Gigi and Leonardo were first romantically linked after the two stars were spotted together at a friend’s party in the Big Apple.
They sparked more relationship rumors after being spotted on several other outings in the Big Apple.
At the time, another insider told People, “Gigi continues to hang out with Leo in NYC. He’s very understanding of her being a mom and works around her schedule to see her, which is really sweet.” he added of the model being “in love.”
However, the mother-of-one and the award-winning actor were last seen together last November after dating for two months, which was reportedly not “serious”.
Entertainment Tonight opened up about the status of their romance last month.
“Leo and Gigi have enjoyed their time together when they can see each other, but when they are busy with other commitments they do their own thing and don’t shut each other out.”
While their priorities are on different wavelengths, the insider added, “They respect each other and have always just seen where things go.”

The Vogue model, who recently starred in a campaign for luxury brand Givenchy, was previously linked to Zayn Malik, with whom she has been in a casual relationship since 2015.
However, the two officially broke up in October 2021 after an alleged altercation between the singer and her own mother, Yolanda Hadid, at her home in Pennsylvania.
Since their split, both Gigi and Zayn have maintained a healthy co-parenting relationship for their daughter Khai.
To celebrate her second birthday, which took place last year, the Pillowtalk hitmaker threw her the best party, the model captioned a stunning photo taken during the celebrations.

“She has a large group of friends who really care about her. She goes on with her life. She has no contact with Leo.”
The actor was also linked to actress Victoria Lamas, 23, at the end of December and more recently to 19-year-old Eden Polani after they were spotted at an album release party.
However, an insider slammed romance rumors between the two, telling the entertainment agency earlier this month that “Leo and Eden happened to be next to each other and in the same group at the party.”
