One Day At A Time actress Valerie Bertinelli shared on TikTok over the weekend that she has lost 10 pounds so far this year.
The 62-year-old beauty was delighted that she now has to downsize her jeans.
The weight loss is due to her participation in Dry January when alcohol is no longer drunk.
And the Hot In Cleveland star – who recently said she’s doing her best after splitting from Tom Vitale – also shared that the weight loss is just one of the big “side effects” of her alcohol-free plan.
The Food Network star said: “So here’s a nice little perk of Dry January. These jeans I’m wearing were so tight a few months ago I couldn’t button them up comfortably. Now they’re so baggy that it time for me to downsize.”

“Yeah, I like that side effect,” said Bertinelli, who seemed pretty happy about it.
A fan asked if she was feeling better. “Maybe I’ll do a dry July too,” Valerie said.
The star lost 50 pounds in 2009 and posed for the cover of People magazine in a green bikini to show off her progress. But over the years, the weight crept back on as she went through a painful divorce and watched her ex-husband Eddie Van Halen die.
When she announced in January that she was quitting drinking, she said she was loving it so far. “I do this for two reasons. First, I want to try to reduce my sugar cravings. And I think alcohol makes it worse,” the TV vet said.
And she hoped to be healthier in general. “I want to calm the cortisol in my body that has been raging for five, six years. I was in fight, flight, freeze, fawn mode. And I want to rest and digest,” she said. “I think drinking less alcohol will help me with that.”
And she made it sound like a good challenge.
