Lisa Wilkinson has warned her social media followers not to fall for a social media scam that uses a duplicate version of her Instagram account to lure victims.
Online scammers have opened a profile with Wilkinson’s name and photos that look almost identical to the Channel 10 host’s verified account.
The 63-year-old posted a screenshot of the fake account on Monday and wrote: “Scam account warning”.

She added: “Please do not follow and definitely do not click on any links.”
The fake Instagram uses a photo of Wilkinson similar to the one she uses on her real account and is called “lisa.wilkonsam”.
It also uses the same profile description that Wilkinson uses for their verified account.

It comes after Wilkinson started the new year with a search for her naysayers after she abruptly left The Project in November.
The former Today show host spoke of losing “the weight of other people’s opinions” as we head into 2023.
Her departure came after a difficult year during which she was taken off the air following her disastrous Logies speech, which led to a delay in a rape trial.
Wilkinson, who has not appeared on screen since leaving The Project, is still paid a “seven-figure salary” by Channel 10 thanks to the “watertight” deal she signed in 2021, reports The Australian.
