Ariana DeBose stunned in a sophisticated suit at the Human Rights Campaign 2023 Greater New York Dinner before receiving the Visibility Award

Ariana DeBose was the epitome of sophistication at the Human Rights Campaign 2023 Greater New York Diner on Saturday night.

The West Side Story star, 32, walked the carpet at the event in a stylish suit and haircut before being honored with the HRC Visibility Award.

For the occasion, the beauty wore a dark blue suit jacket with black lapels and several buttons that were closed in the front.

She paired the jacket with black trousers and black and brown pointed heels.

The Broadway star had her hair styled straight and cut into a bob just above her shoulders.

Ariana cut her bangs right above her forehead and opted for a pink smoky eye look before makeup.

The Oscar winner will be honored at the event with the Visibility Award, which recognizes LGBTQ+ individuals who live open and honest lives at home, at work and in their wider communities.

According to the HRC website, “These qualities align with HRC’s mission to create a country that inspires and engages all Americans to work to end discrimination against LGBTQ+ citizens and realize a nation that embraces fundamental justice.” and promote equality for all.

The previous honoree was six-time Grammy winner Brandi Carlile.

Ariana spoke to British Vogue about her sexual identity in 2022 when she shared that she “didn’t know” she was going to come out.

“My coming out story … I didn’t know I was coming out. I just lived my life. I was in New York City, I was dating a woman.

“And I realized that my grandparents didn’t know that I like all kinds of people.”

She continued, “At this point I haven’t really chosen a word to describe myself, but I chose queer because I thought it would allow me to continue to grow.”

They met over a decade ago while playing for the US women’s national soccer team in 2010, where Ashlyn was a goalkeeper and Ali a defender.

After their long courtship, the couple tied the knot in 2019 and adopted their first child, a daughter named Sloane, in February 2021.

The two-time world champion then adopted their son Ocean in August 2022.
