So, the picture “Prisoner of the Caucasus” oddly enough turned into “The Virgin to be steal”. It was in this translation that it was shown to viewers in Italy. The film fared slightly better in Hungary and the UK. There he was given the names “The Bride in the Bag” and “Caucasian Style Kidnapping”.
But with regard to the tape “Operation” Y “and other adventures of Shurik,” foreign film distributors did not really bother. In Sweden, it was translated as “Operation Laughter,” says KP.
