ACE Eddie Awards Nominations: “Everything Everywhere,” “Top Gun: Maverick,” “Woman King,” “Banshees of Inisherin” and more

American Cinemas Editors rounded up the nominees for the 73rd annual ACE Eddie Awards to be presented next month. Check out the list for all 14 categories below.

In the competition for the main prize for the best edited feature film (drama, film), the editors are behind All Quiet on the Western Front, Elvis, Tar, Top Gun: Maverick And The queen of women. The Comedy Theatrical Race will also be there The Banshees by Inisherin, All at once, Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery, The Menu, and Triangle of Sadness.

Since the turn of the 21st century, the Eddie winner for play has won the Academy Award for best editing 13 out of 22 times – but none in the past three years. 2022, King Richard took this ACE trophy but dune took home the Oscar. Banshees by Inisherin, Elvis, Everything Everywhere, Tar And Independent thinking person is ready for the cut statuette at the Oscars on March 12.

Elsewhere today is the ACE race for Best Adapted Animated Film The Bad Guys, Pinocchio by Guillermo del Toro, Marcel the Shell with Shoes, Puss in Boots: The Last Wish And Blush Hardware dispute. The documentary film category is discussed All the Beauty and the Bloodshed, Fire of Love, Good Night Oppy, Moonage Daydream And Navalny.

The queen of women Director Gina Prince-Bythewood receives the 2023 ACE Golden Eddie Filmmaker of the Year Award, recognizing a filmmaker who is a leader in the art and business of motion pictures. Film editors Lynne Willingham and Don Zimmerman receive Career Achievement Awards.

The 73rd ACE Eddie Awards will be presented March 5 during a ceremony at UCLA’s Royce Hall in Westwood. These are your nominees:
