Holly Willoughby supported her friend when she appeared on This Morning to discuss her son’s battle with cancer.
The 41-year-old presenter asked her friend Hannah Peckham about the charity campaign she started when their four-year-old son Bodhi was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukaemia.
The viral challenge has contestants wearing trousers on their heads, and Holly and Phillip Schofield are happy to take part and pose for the show.

British writer Hannah Peckham – who is also Zoe Ball’s step-sister – launched the #Pantstoleukemia movement while four-year-old Bodhi underwent grueling cancer treatment.
“For me as a mother, I have to give him chemotherapy and be like, ‘Gee, I can’t control this,'” she told This Morning. “The feeling of being able to help…”
The idea came while her toddler was in the hospital receiving treatment instead of celebrating his birthday.

Struggling: Discussing her son’s diagnosis, Hannah admits she worries that Bodhi always looks sick and struggles to catch his breath
But instead of being discouraged, little Bodhi was running around naked with his underpants on his head.
“Even though he went through that…he’s just…a little ray of sunshine,” Hannah breathed.
Speaking about her son’s diagnosis, Hannah admitted she was worried that Bodhi always looked sick and struggled to catch his breath.
Holly recalled: “I remember we were talking at the time and you were like, ‘It’s just one thing at a time’, he keeps getting one virus and then another.”

Hannah, Zoe Ball’s step-sister, spoke about the emotional moment when she learned her son had leukaemia: “I literally just wanted to get out of my body.
“It’s like I look down at myself and I see myself in that room with the two doctors there and I just wanted to escape, but I knew I had to do it for Bodhi.
“That was the only thing, or I would have been out of there.”

Support: Hannah’s sister Zoe Ball, who is currently battling Covid, took to Instagram after the segment to share: “So much love for my beautiful stepsister”

Sweat: Holly also shared a photo after the interview, writing: “@hjpeckham and Bodhi… so proud of you and your inspiring strength… #pantstoleukemia”
Later in the show, rapper KSI appeared to be discussing his new single, but he wanted to show his support for the campaign, so he sat with pants on his head.
Hannah’s sister Zoe, who is currently battling Covid, took to Instagram after the segment to share: “So much love for my beautiful stepsister talking about her beautiful Vave son Bodhi and his leukemia diagnosis and treatment.”
Holly also shared a photo after the interview and wrote: “@hjpeckham and Bodhi… so proud of you and your inspiring strength… #pantstoleukemia… use the hashtag and wear your pants on your head and if you can donate go to the donation page (in my story) to some of the amazing charities working with children with cancer…thanks x

Pants: Later in the show, rapper KSI was apparently discussing his new single, but he wanted to show his support for the campaign, so he sat with pants on his head
Hannah previously explained to the PA how the #PantsToLeukemia campaign started: “Bodhi’s fourth birthday was on Thursday and he was hospitalized again on Friday, so we had to cancel his superhero birthday party on Sunday.
“I updated the group and took a picture of Bodhi, and like a typical four-year-old, he was wearing his socks and sweater and had his pants on his head.
“The whole group responded in solidarity, with their photos, and nobody there really knows each other, so it was really nice.”
What are the symptoms of childhood leukemia?
fatigue and pale skin – This is because leukemia can cause anaemia, which can make a child feel weak, tired and light-headed.
infections and fever – Children with leukemia lack normal white blood cells, which normally help fight infection.
Result – Children may get small, dark spots that look like a normal rash when the leukemia cells spread to the skin
Easy bruising or bleeding – These include frequent nosebleeds, bleeding gums and lots of bleeding from minor cuts.
bone or joint pain – It is caused by a build-up of leukemia cells near the surface of the bone or in the joint.
swelling of the abdomen – Leukemia cells can accumulate in the liver and spleen and enlarge them.
loss of appetite and weight loss – When the spleen and liver swell, they can press against the stomach and cause loss of appetite.
Swollen lymph nodes – Some leukemias spread to the lymph nodes, causing them to swell.
