Joey Essex’s ex-girlfriend Lorena Medina has claimed they exchanged ‘romantic’ messages after Vanessa Bauer put an end to rumors of a romance with him.
The Dancing On Ice star’s former model Lorena, 30, said they were still in touch and claimed Joey told her he was always thinking about her.
It comes after his professional dance partner Vanessa (26) put an end to all rumors of a romance between her and the TOWIE star (32).

Now Lorena has claimed Joey told her he hadn’t “hooked up” with anyone since their romance, but that geography was a barrier for her.
She told The Sun: “We had a bit of a romantic chat, Joey told me he always thinks about me.
“He said he hasn’t been able to find that connection with anyone since and I said, ‘Me too.’ I didn’t find her either,’ and Joey said, ‘Well, if you come to London, I’ll look for you’.
“We both know the attraction is there – the lasting love is still there – but I’m working on my singing career in various countries and he’s in England.”

Joey and Lorena enjoyed a whirlwind romance for several months in 2020 before splitting after he had a 24-hour party session with Rita Ora and friends.
Lorena said they hadn’t spoken to each other seven months ago when she called him on a drunken night in Columbia and they’ve been in touch ever since.
MailOnline has reached out to Joey’s representative for comment.
It comes after both Vanessa and Joey played down rumors of a budding romance between them while competing on Dancing On Ice together.

Appearing on Good Morning Britain earlier this week, he said: “I’m single, Vanessa’s single. We go on the ice every day, it’s cold, you know what I mean?
“We have to keep each other warm! But yes, it’s all good.”
Meanwhile, Vanessa admitted they were “having a lot of fun” but ended all rumors of a romance between her and Joey.
Despite being scrutinized on social media and a flurry of romance rumors over the past few months, she confirmed they are “just skate partners”.

Speaking to The Sun at the Elf The Musical press night in London, Vanessa was asked if there was any truth to the rumors of a blossoming relationship between her and Joey.
“We’re just skating partners,” she said firmly, reacting equally to any chance of romance in the future.
Vanessa’s comments came in response to reports that she and Joey are getting closer and are said to be “super flirty”.
Rumors began swirling after Joey shared a kiss with Love Island’s Maura Higgins at this year’s National Television Awards.

A source told The Sun: “Joey and Vanessa bonded incredibly quickly.
For now, they’ve managed to keep things professional, but it’s safe to say they’re both super flirty.
“They’ll be spending a lot of time together over the next few months due to rehearsals, so it’s easy to see romance blossoming.”
Elsewhere, Joey and his ex-girlfriend Lorena split in 2020 after a whirlwind romance that saw them move in together.

“He told me, ‘I had a crazy night and stayed at my boyfriend’s house,’ and that was fine.” But he didn’t tell me it was a girl, and he didn’t mention Rita Ora. I said to Joey, “This can’t be happening. Are you crazy?”
Lorena said she then told Joey she could no longer trust him and the two decided to go their separate ways.
The model and Joey first got together last summer while filming MTV’s Ex On The Beach in Spain.
And the pair quickly became inseparable after Lorena, who is originally from Mexico, moved into his home in Chigwell, Essex, just months later.
Lorena said the wild party was the last straw after a series of other arguments about jealousy and insecurity.
