Film critic Alexander Shpagin told the PopCornNews portal whether it is possible to continue the cult series about the Russian army. The connoisseur knows for sure: the comeback of the army story is doomed. It makes no sense to return the old characters – they have all become gray and limp for a long time.
“The audience sees that their favorite characters have grown old. Old people should be thrown into the dustbin of history. Make way for the youth! In “Soldiers” everything is just as worn out as in “Real Boys” and “Matchmakers”. The project was “squeezed out” to the last. Rating and quality went down. This is a typical survival strategy series,” Shpagin said.
