Georgy Danelia came up with the brightest scenes of his favorite comedy already during the filming, as creative assistants were found. He often invited Vakhtang Kikabidze and Frunzik Mkrtchyan to his home for dinner after a day at work.
Friends enjoyed not only the generosity of the owner, but also the process of creating a comedy. Mkrtchyan came up with almost all the scenes and lines of his hero from scratch, and when the idea with the missing truck came up, excited whites could not stand it, writes “Back to the USSR”.
In the middle of the night we decided to start filming, called a friend of the director and asked him to come and drive for a few hours. “Friend, you can’t come here, there are traces …” – one of the funniest scenes of the film was born to Chistye Prudy in the courtyard next to Georgy Danelia’s house.
