Justin Theroux and Melissa George’s The Mosquito Coast has been canceled after just two seasons.
After a total of 17 episodes, the network left fans of the thriller devastated on Friday after announcing its decision not to renew the series, which is based on a novel of the same name by the 51-year-old actor’s uncle, Paul Theroux.
The show follows Theroux as Allie Fox, an idealistic American inventor on the run from the National Security Agency (NSA) after she turns to eco-terrorism to further her ideals.
