Hollywood star Margot Robbie will try on the image of the most popular doll in the world – Barbie. The film of the same name will hit theaters on July 21 next year, The Hollywood Reporter writes.
The action of the fantasy drama is set in Barbie’s luxurious mansion in Malibu. The authors have not yet revealed all the details of the future premiere, but fans of the 31-year-old blonde can’t wait to see their favorite star in the famous image. It is known that Ryan Gosling will become Robbie’s partner on the set – he got the role of Ken.
The film will be directed by Little Women Academy Award nominee Greta Gerwig, who will also co-write the screenplay with her husband. Actors Will Ferrell and Michael Cera, known for the film Scott Pilgrim vs. the World, as well as Sex Education star Emma McKay, will also participate in the filming.
