Alice Campello: ‘A beautiful woman is a confident woman’

We spoke to Alice Campbell, creator of the company Mam²ai which is now on sale at Sephora, on beauty and much more.

Founded in 2017 by model, influencer and the Italian businesswoman, the company that holds credentials in the field of facial, body and hair care, has not stopped growing based on three fundamental pillars:

• beautiful beauty. Their products are paraben free, mineral oil free, phthalate free, formaldehyde free, SLS free, and sulfate free. The company continually searches for the purest and most effective ingredients to create powerful formulas that deliver outstanding results.
• Animal testing free. The formulas have been developed without animal testing. All Mam²ai products are tested on real people. “We do not condone animal cruelty,” they point out from the brand.
• Science supported. The power of nature combined with science. The precious, highly effective formulas combine the power of science and nature to offer the best products with high efficacy. In addition, they are all formulated with a high concentration of active ingredients.

What does beauty mean to you?

There are many ways to understand beauty. To me, a beautiful woman is a confident woman who loves herself. Safety and self-esteem are the most important.

Why did you decide to create your own brand?

I had quite problematic skin, with pimples, and I suffered from this problem a lot. I would go to Sephora and spend hours and hours looking for masks and products that could help me. This is how my interest in cosmetics in general and its ingredients began. A few years ago I was in London, pregnant, and I saw that my body was changing too. At that time I decided to make an oil for women who are going through the same changes as me. That’s how was born Natural beauty elixir. I saw that it sold a lot, so I started putting out more stuff.

What is the essential product in your beauty routine?

In my opinion, nothing beats this oil. I love seeing the before and after photos that women send me. It’s something that makes me very happy. Now we’ve also released a shampoo and a mask, and I can see they work wonderfully too.

How do you take care of yourself every morning?

I always wash my face, apply toner, oil and cream Essential Cream. I will finish with the eye contour, but it should be noted that every skin is different and it is necessary to adapt the beauty routine to the specific needs.

As for my hair, it has grown a lot now. I’ve always had a lot of problems because when I have blond hair and use heat tools, the hair doesn’t grow as much as it should. But now with our new shampoo and mask I am much healthier.

What is the next step for your brand?

We are going to release a product related to the reason of the brand: a cosmetic for pimples that will be launched in February.

What inspires you every day?

I am inspired by what I need and what women need. I listen a lot and also ask a lot. Beauty has to do with safety, so if I feel insecure because of pimples, for example, I have to find something to get rid of them. I look for cosmetics and solutions that can help solve every woman’s problems.
