This trick to prevent mascara from flowing in hot weather is revolutionary … Especially these days.

Even if it is much less hot than yesterday, summer still has some surprises in store for us… And among the great inconveniences linked to the heat, there is obviously the runny mascara. Does it happen to you too? We have a tip for you!

In the summer, some people don’t wear makeup, and some people still like to apply some foundation, concealer, blush, bronzer, and mascara. The problem with the latter is that when it’s hot, it tends to sink quickly especially when using a non-waterproof formula and too much oily concealer around the eyes. To avoid this problem, which is certainly not as important as the global pandemic or global warming but can still affect us all, a TikTok influencer named suzi_sina found the definitive solution. And she proved herself.

Putting powder in mascara: the solution to think about

In order for the mascara to have the same effect as a waterproof, the influencer take some powder of his choice and enters dip the brush before dipping it back into its tube. This way, the powder will mix with the mascara formula and make it more compact and moisture resistant. Because, as we know, the loose powder is specially designed to absorb both water and oil.

The only caveat though: the composition of the mascara is made to be perfectly stabilized as originally thought. By inserting a loose powder inside it, the mascara may run off or be too compact when applied long-term. We therefore recommend that you use a tube that is already well started if you want to test this beauty trick.

An effective tip if you don’t want to buy waterproof mascara

If this solution proves to be very effective because it can allow you to get a waterproof formula without having to buy new mascara, it is only short-lived Unfortunately.

On average, it will allow you to achieve a uniform application from 15 days to 1 month. After this time, it is entirely possible that the composition deteriorates.

On the other hand, a waterproof mascara has been specially thought and designed to do its job perfectly. Sure, it’s a little tricky to remove, but with the right cleansing oil and some elbow grease (without rubbing too much) this exercise turns out to be a breeze. So what choice will you make?
