Two vegetable substitutes for cheese and meat

Two vegetable substitutes for cheese and meat

In two previous articles I told you about two protein-rich plant-based alternatives to meat that I consume on a daily basis: the tofu and the seitan† We saw the differences in their nutritional values compared to meat and eggs.

Today I am going to tell you about two other alternative products that I also consume on a daily basis that have in common their high protein content: Quefuss Yes BurVeg† We’re going to see the nutritional differences between smoked tofu and fluffy seitan curry.

Quefuss, is a vegetable alternative to cheese that I love, especially to take as an aperitif, with a meal, in the preparation of desserts or for cooking. It is made from fermented organic soy drink, then subjected to a maturation process that, depending on the duration, gives rise to the different varieties: salted or semi-salted.

The production process is very similar to that of traditional cheeses, always starting with organic soy. A patented production technique, based on artisanal processes, results in Soria Natural’s vegetable “cheese”. To have:

  • High fiber content.
  • High protein content.
