We have a colleague who is never late and always looks good. Yes, there are such people. When we asked how he manages to keep up with everything, he replied: “I do everything in the evening.” And then we were convinced once again that everything ingenious is simple, and we decided to give ourselves a kind of challenge – to do our best in the evening so that we can get an extra half hour of sleep in the morning.
For this reason, we have identified a few habits to follow to see the seventh dream during the challenge. Below we share the most important of them.
Habit #1: Do your hair at night

In an ideal world, we would like birds to fly to our windows in the morning, dress us and do our daily hair. But there is another option – think about curls in the evening. If our grandmothers had to sleep all night with hard curlers to have the perfect hairstyle, we are luckier. Now all you have to do is take soft curlers, wrap your slightly damp hair on them and go to bed. And in the morning, spray the resulting curls with texturizer. Our assistant in this matter was the Ocean brand spray. In a few clicks, the skin is ready!

Habit 2: Laying out an outfit the night before

The most unpleasant feeling is getting dressed, going out and realizing that you don’t like the look but the day is just beginning. This usually happens when there is very little time to pick onions (read: every morning). So the habit of creating a visual in advance is perhaps the biggest time saver. Think about how you want to look the day before and most importantly, try out all the components. The image in your head often looks better than it actually is, so it’s easier to spend five minutes trying it out than to regret not doing it all day long.
Habit #3: Repair your skin

Of course, no one has ever canceled their morning beauty routine with all its components (cleansing, toning, moisturizing). But a good moisturizer at night is the key to glowing skin in the morning. Remember the words of Hailey Bieber: “My rule of thumb is to go to bed like a glazed donut.” To do this, she uses serums, creams and oils, but for the maintenance of youthful skin, you can limit yourself to just a good moisturizer. For example, our latest favorite is the BoLCA Topical Botulinum Toxin Face Cream. It manages to repair the skin overnight, making it soft and smooth.

Habit No. 4. Get a lymphatic drainage facial massage

If your skin is prone to swelling, this product is for you. Lymphatic drainage massage in the evening helps to eliminate excessive swelling in the morning. That’s why beauticians recommend doing this procedure several times a week or every evening before going to bed. Now there are a lot of different massage tools, from gua sha scrapers to tools. And we are of course in favor of the latter. Because in addition to massage, they also have other functions. For example, the Olzori brand has a D-Lift Pro microcurrent massager that not only reduces swelling, but also helps to improve the complexion.

Habit #5: End the day mentally.

Instead of scrolling through your social media feed, try writing in a journal. At least a few lines. About how your day went, what you liked, what bothered you. Write down everything that comes to mind. This will help you clear your head and stop chasing your thoughts for a few hours. As a result, you will be able to fall asleep quickly. In addition, in the morning after such a ritual, you will most likely wake up with a clear head and will not be distracted by extraneous thoughts.
Habit No. 6. Choose makeup

Choosing makeup for the day is sometimes more difficult than choosing a look. It needs to fit the overall image and also match your mood. A tip that helps us a lot is to think about your makeup at the same time as you experiment with your look. At this moment you see the whole image and understand what kind of makeup will complete it – highlight or, conversely, “clean”. The Pat McGrath Labs palette will cope with every task equally well with the classic trio that is always necessary: blush + bronzer + highlighter.

Habit #7: Pack your bag

When you have several bags in your wardrobe, one for keys, another for a wallet, a third for a lip liner, and a fourth for a sports jersey, leaving the house and not forgetting anything is a real art. Take care of this issue in advance so that you don’t have to rummage through all your bags in the morning looking for your missing lipstick or headphones. If you have already packed your bow and know your approximate plans for the next day, it will be easy for you to decide on a bag and fill it with everything you need.
Habit #8: Pack your lunch

When you are 27, not 20, you start to understand people who come to the office with home-cooked meals. This is exactly the habit your body will thank you for. At home, you can calculate in advance the approximate calorie content of a meal and make it healthy and rich in protein, fat and carbohydrates. For convenient transportation, you can use containers or thermoses (if we are talking about soup).
